Hit Counter FAQ1. Are your hit counters really free? Yes, all our hit counters are 100% free. However, we do display a small non-intrusive link advertisement below each free hit counter to help offset the cost of providing you a free hit counter. 2. How do I create my counter? Creating a hit counter if quite simple. In fact, we do all the work. You simply select the hit counter you want to use and fill out the information form that appears when you select your counter. We will then provide you the code you need to insert into your website. Its that simple! 3. Can I alter the html code you provide? We allow users to make minor changes to the link code to fit your website. HOWEVER, we require that you place both links in the code on the exact same page where you place the counter. Our system checks each link counter regularly to verify that neither of the links in the original code have been disabled. If our system indicated that either of the links have been removed or disabled your account will be terminated. 4. I inserted the counter code on my page but all that appears is html code all over my page. What’s wrong? If html code is appearing instead of the hit counter it means that the code was added as text to the page, and not to the actual code in page. Consequently, your browser is displaying the code for your counter instead of the actual counter itself. To solve this problem you need to remove the html code you added and re-add the code in the correct location. 5. Where the hit counter should appear all I see is a little box with red x in it. What up? If have just set of up your hit counter but have not upload it yet, this is a normal occurence which will be correct when it is uploaded.
